Skate Like A Girl: Spooky Skate Meet-Up at Micklefield Skatepark FREE!

Join us for a Halloween-themed Skate Like A Girl session, our very first meet-up at Micklefield Skatepark! This project encourages women, girls, and minority genders to feel confident using outdoor skateparks on quad skates. Over the next year, we’ll be hosting 20 meet-ups across parks in the city, building a supportive and inclusive skate community. Funded by Leeds Community Foundation Micro Action Grants.

We’re proudly LGBTQIA+ friendly, and each event will clearly note whether allies (cis-men) are welcome. This one’s all about celebrating our spooky sisterhood on wheels, but we are welcoming allies at this one.

🛼 When: Saturday 25th October, 10am – 12 noon
📍 Where: Micklefield Skatepark
🎃 Theme: Fancy dress encouraged!

Our coaches Lottie and Emma will be there offering casual coaching and tips, perfect for all levels.

Equipment:
You can borrow our skates and safety gear for free, but it must be pre-booked in advance.
If you already have your own equipment, there’s no need to book, just fill in the waiver  and turn up!

⚠️ Please note:

  • You skate entirely at your own risk.

  • You’re responsible for checking your own equipment and ensuring it’s safe to use.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

Come for the skating, stay for the community, and don’t forget your spooky outfit!
